Peacefully transitioned to her eternal home on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at the age of 96.
Born in E. St. Louis, Illinois on September 29, 1926, to the late Willie and Pearl Thompson, Armitee graduated from Lincoln High School of E. St. Louis, Illinois and Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Illinois. She enlisted in the U.S. Army where her career spanned decades as an Army nurse and later in life as a nurse in private practice.
Armitee is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert L. Brunner, of Aiea, Hawaii and her sister, Eddie Mae Gueno, of E. St. Louis, Illinois. She is lovingly survived by her nieces and nephews.
Armitee’s nieces and nephews are comforted with these words from John 11:25-26: “I am the resurrection and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die”
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.BorthwickOahu.com for the Brunner family.
