Paul J. Lemanowicz, 73, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024 at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, FL. A native of Jersey City, NJ, he was born June 5, 1951 to Joseph and Catherine (Jeffs) Lemanowicz, one of two children. Paul moved to Homosassa in 1987 from Danielson, Connecticut and during his working life here was employed by both Proline Boats in Homosassa and Shrimp Landing in Crystal River. An accomplished musician, music was a big part of Paul’s life. He played guitar and sang in many bands throughout his life. As an avid movie fan, Paul had an extensive movie collection and enjoyed watching his favorites many times over. His perfect day would have to include spending time with his three children; Jessica, Lisa and Kevin and his grandchildren, as they were his life. Nothing big in particular had to happen, as he was content to sit and watch a movie with them; just as long as he was spending time with his family. He also loved trips to the Orlando theme parks, and if the day ended perfectly, he’d be found singing karaoke at one of the local spots. Paul was always trying to make people laugh and his infectious playful personality put everyone at ease. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann Lemanowicz, on July 23, 2019, and a brother-in-law, Mike. Paul is survived by his children: Kevin Lemanowicz , Quincy MA; Jessica Lemanowicz , Floral City, FL, and Lisa Lemanowicz , Homosassa FL; grandchildren Ashley Lemanowicz , Inverness FL; Tyler Messina, Inverness FL; Dustin Lemanowicz , Hanover PA; Kyle Lemanowicz, wife Courtney , Homosassa FL; Kaitlyn Lemanowicz , Beverly Hills FL; Landen Lemanowicz , Homosassa FL; Conor Gutierrez, Brookline MA and Jacob Lemanowicz , North Kingstown RI; great grandchildren Saylor and Hudson Barker, both of Beverly Hills, FL and Kaedyn and Kyleigh Lemanowicz, both of Homosassa FL, as well as sister Cathy Beauchene, Griswold Connecticut. A Catholic Prayer Service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024 at 5:00 P.M. at Macrini-Wilder Funeral Home, 4890 S. Suncoast Blvd., Homosassa, FL 34446 with Deacon Mark Manko of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church of Homosassa officiating. Interment will be private. www.wilderfuneral.com
