Michael Alan Neary, 60, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018 at Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast Hospice House in Lecanto, FL. A native of Evergreen Park, Illinois, he was born December 6, 1957 to Matthew Joseph and Jeanne Theresa (Nestlehut) Neary, one of four children. "Ape Hanger Mike", as he was known to many, moved to Citrus County from Brandon, Florida in 1989, and had lived in Rose Hill, Virginia prior to that time. Michael was a HVAC technician and electrician and once worked for Devane Electric in Citrus County. He served his country honorably and proudly in the United States Army in 1975 and in addition to his parents, was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Neary. He is survived by his loving companion, Judy O'Banion; daughters Tracey Neary and Jennifer Webb and her husband Tim; brothers Matthew Neary and Patrick Neary and his wife Barb; grandchildren Isaiah, Roman, Sean, Shane, Breanna and Tater and great grandchildren Brody and Blakely and a host of extended family. A future celebration of Michael's life at Two Deuces in Homosassa will be announced at a later date.
