Marsha E. Wallace, 71, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Mon., June 5, 2023 at Bravera Health Seven Rivers Hospital in Crystal River, FL. A native of Vandalia, IL, she was born Feb. 19, 1952 to the late John and Esther (Koehler) Pomaiba, one of three children. Marsha moved to Citrus County 32 years ago from Fort Knox, KY and enjoyed a 30 year career with the Citrus County School Board, beginning as a substitute teacher. Having earned her Bachelor’s Degree, Marsha then moved on to Special Education Teacher (ESE) and eventually served as a Job Coach at Withlacoochee Technical Institute, from which she retired. Marsha was a member of First Baptist Church of Crystal River and a member of Loyal Order of Moose Family Center #2013. She was also charitably involved with “Help A Sister Out” on Facebook, an organization that assists people in need of clothing, dishes, and toys. Marsha loved tending to her plants and garden, birdwatching, watching NCIS on television, sewing and cooking. Mrs. Wallace is survived by her two children: Edward H. Wallace III of Homosassa and Kimberly A. Wallace of Clarksville, TN and her siblings: brother John Pomaiba (wife Lorie) of Connecticut and Sandra Dione (husband Robert) of Maine.
