Kathleen A Freeman

Kathleen A. Freeman, 90, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Wed., Oct. 25, 2023 at her home. A native of Armstead, Montana, she was born Dec. 24, 1932 to Albert and Emily (Olsen) Gordon, one of six children. A lifelong homemaker a great deal of her life, Kathleen also served as a secretary for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation during the construction of the Hungry Horse Dam near Kalispell, MT. In her high school days, Kathleen was a member of 4H Club. Mrs. Freeman moved to Homosassa ten years ago from Butte, Montana, where she had lived for nearly 60 years, and was a devoted and faithful member of Northcliff Church in Spring Hill, FL. During her time in Montana, Kathleen loved her Sunday school teaching ministries, especially teaching children. Mrs. Freeman held memberships in three churches over her years in Montana; most recently First Baptist Church in Butte. She was also a member of Good News Club and Awana and directed and planned many Christmas Programs; passions that she enjoyed for more than 50 years. Kathleen enjoyed reading, gardening and sewing; but especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Freeman was a seasoned traveler and cruiser and during her life she treasured her trips to Israel, Scotland and a “Journeys of Paul” trip that included Greece, Turkey, Italy and Oberammergau, Germany, where she saw the Passion Play. Trips to Disneyland and Disney World were always her favorites, and Kathleen’s favorite color was pink and she loved chocolate! In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband T. Lynn Freeman; one sister, three brothers, one niece and one nephew. Kathleen is survived by her daughters Deborah and Pamela Freeman of Homosassa; sister Patricia Kotyluk of Woodland, CA; sister-in-law Tina Gordon of Newberry Springs, CA and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
