Karen and her husband, Bill, after WW II, moved to Gulfport, Florida in 1946. Later, in 1987, She and Bill relocated to Homosassa, Florida and resided in Sugar Mill Woods.
Karen loved to read and sew and was know to all as a fabulous, gourmet cook. Her other passion was theater. Karen was a past member of the St. Petersburg, Florida Little Theater for decades and held the title of President. She was also a founding member of the Children’s Theater in St. Pete. She was a member of the Friends of the Gulfport Library and also was a past president of the group.
Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; son, Bill Godfrey III; and daughter, Anne Stern. She is survived by her son, Eric Godfrey and wife Ferne; daughter-in-law, Kathy Godfrey; 4 grandchildren and 5 great granchildren.
At Karen’s request, she will be cremated and her ashes spread in the Gulf of Mexico.
