Elizabeth Adeline Hearn

Elizabeth Adeline Hearn, 93 of Chassahowitzka, Florida died Friday, July 20, 2012 at Cypress Cove Care Center in Crystal River. She was born February 4, 1919 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, daughter of the late Rufus Turpin and Iona A. Myers Turpin.

Elizabeth moved to this area 38 years ago from Hawaii. She was manager for various Convince Stores in the area and was a member of the Chassahowitzka Fire Dept. Women’s Auxiliary Crafts Club Neighbor Hood Watch and the Central Florida Sugar Babes Doll Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert F. Hearn.

She is survived by her sons Whittley A. Morrison (Sandra) of Longmont, CO and Richard A. Byrd (Linda) of Malvern, OH; daughter Patricia Ann Herbert of Annapolis, MD; brothers Richard Turpin of Seminole, FL, Glen Turpin of Liberal, KA and Bill Turpin of Fort Atkinson, WI; sisters Laura Stockburger of Ashville, NC and Evelyn Snyder of Canton, OH; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 11 am at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa Springs with Pastor Rick Aldret officiating. Friends will be received from 10 am until the hour of service. Burial will be in Stage Stand Cemetery. I lieu of flowers donatin in memory of Elizabeth may be given to HPH Hospice.
