Anthony Nappo III, 55, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Thurs., Feb. 23, 2023 at Bravera Health Seven Rivers in Crystal River, FL. A native of Buffalo, NY, he was born Dec. 12, 1967 to Anthony Jr. and Karen (Hofmann) Nappo. “Guy” or “Tony”, as he was known to many, graduated from Burgard High School in his native Buffalo, where he also earned credentials in Aviation Mechanics. Mr. Nappo moved to Homosassa three years ago from Hudson, FL and was employed by the City of Largo as an Environmental Officer in the city’s Sewer Division. Guy also enjoyed a long career as a truck driver, and followed the Catholic and Christian faiths during his life. Guy loved the beach, snorkeling, visiting Sugar Loaf Key, tinkering with his three wheeler motorcycles, cooking and serving meals for his family (he served green beans with EVERYTHING), was a member of the Tampa Knights Car Club, and he loved oysters, scallops and pizza. Mr. Nappo was a big hearted man who was known to feed the homeless in any neighborhood. Tony was always the center of attention; the life of the party, and was an avid Ozzy Osborne fan! Guy is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Christina A. Nappo of Homosassa; parents Anthony Nappo Jr. of Buffalo and Karen Hofmann (loving companion Michael Showen) of Anchorage, AK; sons Ryan Heberling (wife Liz) of South Chesterfield, VA and Justin Heberling (wife Courtney) of Land O’ Lakes, FL; sister Karen Sever of Homosassa; stepbrother Carl Kochersberger (wife Suzanne) of Fultonham, NY and his beloved dogs Kissy, Paulie, Pugsley, Rea, Linda, Baby and Vanessa. Anthony was also a beloved uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews, including Michael Sever of Hamburg, NY and Kimberly Sever of Tampa, FL.
