Mary Arlene Whitfield

Mary Arlene Whitfield age 80 of Cahaba Heights passed away April 4, 2014. Mrs. Whitfield worked at Highland United Methodist Church and First Presbyterian Church of Birmingham until she retired. Mrs. Whitfield was a loving wife, mother , grandmother , aunt, and spent most of her life helping others.

She is preceded in death by her father William C. Winsted and Mother Lula May Lee –Winsted. She is also preceded in death by her brothers Leonard Winsted , Lawrence Winsted and Sammy Winsted.

She is survived by her loving husband Eldridge Whitfield of 63 years. Mrs. Whitfield is survived by her sons Danny (Melody ) Whitfield , Stephen (Julie) Whitfield and daughter Tami Arlene Whitfield. She has 6 grandchildren Chris (Reagan) Whitfield, Jeremiah (Kim) Whitfield, Allison Hamilton, Jacob (Alex) Whitfield, Garrett Whitfield , Elizabeth Morgan Whitfield, she is also survived by 7 great grandchildren Kelsey, Devin, Tyler, Braelyn, Shawn, Cameron, Isabella.

A graveside service will be held Tues. April 08, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville. Mrs. Whitfield’s complete obituary will be at www.ridoutsvalleychapel.com.
