Judy White Butler left this earthly home at the tender age of 75 on Friday, January 27, 2023. She was born in Bay Minette, AL on March 22, 1947. Judy was raised in South Alabama, and graduated from Baldwin County High School. Her beloved son Jeff was born in 1971. Judy spent over forty years working in the retail advertising world where she developed, by her own admission, a strong “deadline attitude” toward life. She was an accomplished pencil artist and painter who helped people by creating artwork of great sentiment to them. This was especially evident in the dozens of late pet portraits she crafted for their loving owners. In October of 2000, Judy married Eugene (Britt) Butler and together they enjoyed many philanthropic efforts through the environmental charity founded by Britt, Abahac, Inc. Judy had a vibrant personality and loved helping people in need, a passion which her son also developed. Together in 2010, Judy and Jeff established Bayshore Retreat an Addiction Treatment Center in Destin, Florida. They had a desire to help families with loved ones suffering from substance abuse disorder. Judy will be missed greatly by her family, friends, and those whom she helped throughout her life. Judy’s faith in God will now begin her promised life. Judy was predeceased by her son, Jeffrey Allen Butler (Bonzo). She is survived by her husband, Eugene Britt Butler and his children, Jan and Robert; grandchildren Carley Tucker Given (Chad), Ellen Brackin Sevits (Jamie), Morgan Butler and Ryan Butler; great-grandchildren Lainey, Charlotte Ann, Alex, Jack; and many dear friends.
The family will have a private service in Judy's honor.
