Joseph E Acton

Joe graduated from Shades Valley High School in 1970 and went on to receive a bachelors in Business Administration in 1975 at Auburn University. He had a successful career as a Operation Manager in the waste disposal business.

Joe had a passion for antique cars and trucks and was a collector of Coca-Cola. He loved the outdoors, but found his true passion was being with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Fred Lawson Acton and Rose Marie Baroco Acton.

Joe leaves behind his loving wife, Annette Fontenot Acton; son, Joseph Morgan Acton; brother, Michael Fredrick Acton; sister, Rosemarie Acton Putman.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmie Hale Mission.

A visitation for Joseph will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a service to immediately follow at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood, AL. A reception will be held following the service. Burial will be at Acton Memorial Cemetery.
