Irene Bearden Burton, age 93, of Cahaba Heights, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015. Irene was born on December 27, 1921 to the late Henry Bearden and Sarah Elizabeth Howard Bearden. She was a longtime member of Vestavia Hills Baptist Church.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband Frank Burton, Sr., and her daughter Frances Burton.
She is survived by her children: Charles W. Burton, Frank M. Burton, Jr. and his wife Emma and Carol Sheats; her grandchildren: Connie Townley, Billy Sheats and Bobby Sheats and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Vestavia Hills Baptist Church with the funeral following at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Wooten’s Chapel Cemetery.
