Cedric Williams a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, age 88, went to be with the Lord and Grannie on Friday, September 23, 2022. He was a veteran of the United State Air Force and honorably served during the Korean War. He was an active member of Raleigh Avenue Baptist church. Cedric was an avid fisherman and loved hunting. He retired from HealthSouth Medical Center as an X-ray technician after many years of service.
Cedric was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Doris Williams; his parents, Earnest David and Ressie Williams; brother, Wilson Williams; granddaughter, Catherine Williams; and great granddaughter Braylen Rayn.
He is survived by: sister, Bobby Buss; son, David Williams (Brenda); grandchildren, Stacy Brown (Steve), Sarah, Matthew Millis (Alicia), Bella and Madison, and Lauren Spain-Allie and Paul David; daughter, Lou Lewis (Jay); granddaughters, Brittany Shaw (Tyler), Colton Hogan, Kaitlyn Lewis-McKenzie and Nola Oglesby; daughter, Dee Pearce (Tim); grandchildren, Brandon (Sonia), Tyler (Madison), Trenton (Jordan), Anthony, Jordan, Sarah, Katie, Johanna, Hunter, and Jessie. He was dearly loved and will be missed by so many.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday the 27th of September, 2022 beginning at five o’clock in the evening until seven o’clock in the evening at Ridout’s Valley Chapel in Homewood. The funeral service will be on Wednesday the 28th of September, 2022 with visitation beginning at nine o'clock and service at ten o’clock in the morning at Raleigh Avenue Baptist Church in Homewood. Burial with military honors will follow at Alabama National Cemetery at twelve-thirty in the afternoon.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials in memory of Cedric Williams be made to Raleigh Avenue Baptist Church, 309 Raleigh Ave. Homewood, AL 35209.
