Benjamin Jones Eich

Benjamin Jones Eich of Mountain Brook, died October 28,2011 at the age of 92.He was retired district manager for Parke Davis Pharmaceutical. He remained active with Highland Methodist Church and the Marvin Williams Sunday School Class as well as many outreach ministries.

Born in Fort Davis, Alabama in 1919,he attended Alabama Polytechnic(now Auburn University).Mr. Eich was a member of the Jefferson County Pharmacy Association, the Auburn University Pharmacy Advisory Board, and the Samford Society. He also won ribbons for his camellias.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Mitchell Shelby Eich. Mr. Eich is survived by his son, Dr. Bruce Shelby Eich (Sharon) and his daughter, Elizabeth Ann Eich Oliver (Dr. Kurt).He also leaves 8 grandchildren and 6 great –grandchildren.

The visitation for Mr. Eich will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 at Ridout’s Valley Chapel on Wednesday Nov. 2,2011 with a graveside service to follow at 3:00 PM at Elmwood Cemetery.
