Known for her class and strength of spirit, she was a gracious presence to those in her life. She was a longtime member at First Baptist Church of Hoover, where she sang in the choir. Annette was a 1950 graduate of West End High School. Before retirement she worked as a bookkeeper at Alabama Metal. She was an accomplished artist, especially later in life and participated in art shows all around the Birmingham-metro area. She was also an avid gardener and always kept a beautiful yard.
Annette was born in Birmingham, Alabama on December 6, 1932 to the late Ollie Clements and Daisy Myrtle Upchurch Clements. Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and soon to be great-great-grandmother she is preceded in death by her husband Jessie Eugene Hill and son Robert Eugene Hill. She is survived by son Stephen Hill, daughter Christina Brock (Duane), daughter Patricia Price (Steve) and grandchildren Erin Wells (Coy), Adam Hill, PJ Hill (Tara), Matthew Brock (Nicole), Michael Brock, Amy Brock-Reed (Matthew), Leigh Rudder (Josh), Lauren Hill-Bingham (Matthew), Heather Haslem (Nick), and Paige Hopkins (Blake).
She will be deeply missed by those who loved her and her memory will remain eternal in our hearts.
The funeral will take place on August 11th, 2023 at 11am with a visitation beforehand at 10am at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood, AL., 1800 Oxmoor Road, Birmingham, AL 35209.
