Robert was born on October 3, 1936 in Sisseton, SD the son of Walter and Doris (Stoltz) Pirmantgen who preceded him in death. He earned his Master’s Degree from Loyola University in Chicago, IL. Robert retired in 2005 from Rehab Institute of Chicago (RIC) as a certified orthotist. After retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, golfing, reading scientific magazines and novels, cracking bad jokes and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include: one son, Thomas Pirmantgen (Wendy) of New Bloomfield, MO; two brothers, James Pirmantgen (Patty) of Sisseton, SD and Larry Pirmantgen of San Antonio, TX; one sister, Elizabeth Wynia of Yelm, WA; five grandchildren, Raymond Pirmantgen, Carie Lawson, Julia Pirmantgen, Doris Pirmantgen and Robert Pirmantgen and four great-grandchildren, Josie Lee Lawson, Millie Lawson, Thomas Gunthner and Mila Gunthner. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Julia Pirmantgen; one grandson, Terry Pirmantgen; one brother, Stanley Pirmantgen and one sister, Patricia Joseph.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Debo Funeral Home, Holts Summit, MO. Private family services will be held Debo Funeral Home in Holts Summit, MO.
