Daniel was born on March 30, 1951 near Thompson, MO, son of Duane and Beverly (Brown) Mosley who preceded him in death. As All-Conference in football at Centralia High School, he was a graceful combination of pride, humility, kindness, and resilient patience. His passions were his family, raising animals on his farm, and teaching his children the love of the outdoors. After graduating from Southwest Missouri State University, he completed a master’s degree in sociology from Central Missouri State and a second master’s in social work from the University of Missouri becoming a licensed clinical social worker. He had a long career as a forensic social worker for the State of Missouri. He eventually settled down with his family on a farm in New Bloomfield, MO.
Dan will be greatly missed by his wife of 42 years, Mary; his daughter, Amanda; his two sons, Jeff and Joe; six grandchildren that he loved dearly; Sharky, his farm dog; and three siblings, Claudia Hulen, Christine Alejandro, and Carole Acton. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Greg and Eric Mosley and nephew, Matt Mosley.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Debo Funeral Home in Holts Summit, MO with a rosary at 3:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Friday, September 23, 2022 at St Peter Catholic Church in Jefferson City with Fr Brad Berhorst officiating. Burial will be in Middle River Cemetery near Tebbetts, MO.
