Barbara was born on January 2, 1927, in St Louis, MO the daughter of Millard and Ruth (Miller) Bahr who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Lebanon High School, Ward Belmont College (now Belmont University) in Nashville, TN and University of Missouri - Columbia. On June 17, 1950, she was united in marriage in Lebanon, MO to Richard “Dick” Ault who preceded her in death. Barbara was a homemaker, until they moved to Fulton, MO, then she worked for Westminster College at Reeves Library from 1968, until her retirement in 1992.
Survivors include: one son, Richard “Larry” Ault; two daughters, Susan Kaiser and Carolyn Mitchell; daughter-in-law, Deborah Ault, four grandchildren, Bryan Ault (Ashley), Kelly McGrath, Kathryn Thomas (Pete) and Matthew Mitchell; two great-grandsons, Jordan Ault and Cody Ault; one niece, Sally and one nephew, Ricky. She was also preceded in death by her son, David Ault; one brother Richard Bahr and one half-sister, Martha.
Private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Callaway Memorial Gardens, Fulton, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital OR Phoenix Hospice, c/o Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court St, Fulton, MO 65251.
The family would like to thank Phoenix Hospice for the care Barbara received while in their care the last few months of her life.
