CONWAY, CAPTAIN RONALD H., 81, 07/21/1932 and flew west 12/05/2013. Born in Chicago, IL, and moved to Miami at age 3. Attended Miami Edison High and joined the Air Force. Attended U of Miami, took flight training at Embry-Riddle and flew for various small airlines. While at Regina Airlines, Ron met his favorite stewardess, Beverly Baker. He joined National Airlines in Nov. 1956 and the couple was married Dec. 18. Ron flew all over the world with National and Pan Am, and ended his career in 1992 with United, flying his favorite 747 -New York to Tokyo. Ron and Beverly enjoyed flying and cruising to exotic and romantic places. He especially loved showing the world to his daughter and son, and sharing the couple's vacation home in Roan Mountain, TN, with their friends. Member of the Roan Mountain Methodist Church, National Airlines Buccaneers, a Mason and 32nd Degree of Scottish Rite, and a Shriner. Ron was a gentleman pilot and a class act, and can never be replaced. Survived by his wife Beverly of Hollywood Beach, daughter Caron Conway de Salazar, son Ron (Sara), grandchildren Shawn and Tyler de Salazar and Melissa Conway, and sister-in-law Barbara Look and family. Ron's family appreciates the loving care given by Steven Kanner, M.D.; Hospice caregivers Norma Brooks, Dina Israel, Marcella Pharp and Jackie Reme; and home health aide Lincoln Fleming.
