Marie Carmelle Claire Dubuche Smith, a beloved mother, sister and grandmother passed away peacefully on June 26, 2024, at the age of 81 in Plantation, Florida.
Born on January 3, 1943, in Jacmel, Haiti to her beloved parents Pierre Dubuche and Gertrude Lafortune. Marie Carmelle lived a life full of love, perseverance and dedication. As a patient care technician, she extended her care and compassion beyond her family, touching the lives of many with her kindness, respect and commitment. Her role as a homemaker made her the cornerstone and the pillar of her family, always providing unwavering support and love.
Marie Carmelle was the proud mother of six children. She is preceded in death by her daughter Magaly Smith Eveillard and is survived by her five sons Raphael, Clifford, Andre, James, and Pierre Smith, as well as her brothers, and her cherished grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Her legacy of love, strength, and resilience will live on through them and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her family, friends, and all who were touched by her warmth and generosity will deeply miss her. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her dedication to her family, her perseverance and her enduring strength.
