John E. Rock, died peacefully in his home in Davie on Feb. 27th after a long battle with cancer. He was born July 12, 1935, in New York City. John was a retired Miami Dade policeman of 35 years. He served in the Military Police and was a Warrant Officer in the Army Reserves for 16 years. He loved music all his life and sang and played guitar. He loved to sing in St. Mark's choir. He is survived by his wife Camille, of almost 57 years, son Jon and his wife Bam, son Steven, and grandchildren Ping and James. A mass will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church, Southwest Ranches, on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at 11:00 AM with entombment to follow at Fred Hunter's Hollywood Memorial Gardens.
