If you were to ask those close to Steve to describe him, they would tell you that he was an exceptional person, who was hard working, and a true kid at heart. Steve was an artist, who wrote beautiful stories and poems, was an incredibly talented illustrator, and took stunning photos. Steve also loved Marvel Cinema, Dungeons and Dragons, and spending time with friends and family. He and his wife Alexa had a seasonal lot at Chinook Campground, where they have been spending summers since 2008. They also made the trip every year to MIS to watch the NASCAR races and cheer on Steve’s favorite driver Kevin Harvick. Steve and Alexa traveled to New Orleans, Las Vegas, the Florida Keys, and Canada in recent years, enjoying time with friends. Steve was a great cook, and his family will cherish the memories of his Christmas standing rib roast, in addition to the special German meals he would make for Alexa. He had a soft spot for animals, and leaves behind many furry friends, including his beloved dogs Max and Simba.
Steve was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents June and Robert Baughman, paternal grandparents Lyle and Pauline Davis, and his father-in-law Ricky Peterson.
