Roger Dale Jacobs

Roger was born in Holland October 7, 1955 to Howard Jay and Ruth (Jackson) Jacobs. He worked in the automotive industry for 34 years, starting out as a hi-lo driver, eventually becoming the maintenance manager, and later worked as an upholsterer at Sub Assembly Plus until his passing.

Roger loved his family (especially his grandkids), his church, and could be found hunting any chance he could get. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Howard and Ruth Jacobs; step mom Molly Jacobs; siblings Henry Jacobs, Jay Jacobs, Martha Jacobs, and Judy Jacobs; father-in-law Jack Bruischart; brothers-in-law Greg McAlpine, John Hawrylak, and John Boersema.

He is survived by his wife Cindy Jacobs; 2 sons Adam (Lina) Jacobs and Andy (Amanda) Jacobs; grandchildren Gracie Jacobs, Alexis Jacobs, Austin Shumway, Austin Jacobs, Wyatt Jacobs, and Emmie Jacobs; siblings Nancy Boersema, Jeff Jacobs, and Lori Jacobs; step sister Pat Van Slooten; step brother Tom (Deb) Clark, foster brother Randy (Cindy) Johnson; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to celebrate Roger’s life will be Thursday, 11:00am at Ottawa Reformed Church, 11390 Stanton St., West Olive. Burial will be in the Felch Street Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 8, from 5-7:00pm at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland.
