Bob was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he and Jean started the Awana Program. He was a U.S. Veteran, serving in the Army during the Korean War. He was also a member of the D.A.V and V.F.W. Bob worked for the City of Wyoming for 26 years and also drove truck.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Richard, Lester and Charles Bell, sister Thelma DeVree and a grandson, Jason Dreyer.
His is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jean; children, Maxine and Philip Dreyer, Wesley and Cindy Bell, Kellie and Tom Ash, Robert R. Bell; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis and Marv Reenders, Joyce (Menken) Bender, Marian VanderBeek (Wyngarden), Patricia and Don Bronkema; brother and sisters-in-law, Lyle Sr. and Alice Polack, Francis and Michael Gardener, Katie Polack; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service with military honors will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2017, at Calvary Baptist Church, 517 W. 32nd Street, in Holland. Pastor Paul Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens
Visitation will be Friday, one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Holland or Calvary Schools of Holland.
