Hattie (Bolhuis) Veenstra, aged 91, of Zeeland passed away on April 8, 2015 due to complications of Wegener’s Granulomatosis, and she was received into Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior for all eternity. Hattie was the youngest of 12 children, born on June 13, 1923, to William and Tena Bolhuis in Ellsworth, Michigan. Hattie had a huge heart for people and was a “real sweetheart” who greatly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her fondest memories were of camping up north after her retirement and playing games including setback, Kings Corners, croquet, miniature golf, and bowling. Hattie had a deep and abiding love for the Lord. She was a strong prayer warrior and was deeply touched that others were praying for her.
