David Arnold Thompson

David was a wonderful, loving, and a very devoted man to his wife Jenny of almost 43 years, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He had a beautiful smile and a beautiful heart that we will all miss. He was a very hard-working man at jobs that included Caterpillar, Sligh Furniture, and Dean Transportation, where he was still employed until his sudden passing. He treasured his Dean’s family and the students he had on the bus for the last 10 years.

Dave loved to travel, camp, and spend time with family and friends. He also loved riding his Harleys. His biggest bike trip was to Alaska 20 years ago with his late brother Richard and friends.

Dave lived his life to the fullest until he took his last breath; surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren. You will never be forgotten, Babe!

Dave was preceded in death by his parents LeRoy and Wilma; his daughter Teresa; sister Osia; sister Lora Mae; brother Richard; brother-in-law Harold; and brother-in-law Kenneth, as well as father-in-law Eugene Roecker.

Dave is survived by his loving wife Jenny; son Matthew; daughter Nicole (Rob); grandchildren Donnie, Cameren, Kira (Cory), Mallory (David), Jake, Matthew Jr., Isla, Leah, Theo, and Riley; as well as great-grandchildren Nathaniel, Link, and Santana; Brother Wayne; sister Berdean; brother-in-law Johnny Gonzales; and sister-in-law Pat Thompson; Mother-in-law Gillian Roecker; Sister-in-law Heidi (Randy), Angie (Ron), Teresa (Joe); as well as brothers-in-law Patrick and Andrew. Dave is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, May 20 from 1-5 PM at Lakeshore Memorial Services – 11939 James St. Holland, MI 49424.
