Mrs. Wanda Faye Smith

Wanda Faye Smith, 71, of Hixson passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2010.

She was a lifelong resident of Hixson, and had been a member of Mile Straight Baptist Church. She enjoyed oil painting, making porcelain dolls, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Arlin” Smith; father, Eugene Christian, sisters; Thelma and Shirley.

Survivors include her three sons, Richard “Rick” (Kim) Smith, Scott (Andrea) Smith, and Tracey (Dani) Smith; mother, Thelma Christian; brothers, William Christian and Danny Christian; sisters, Diane Palmer, Cindy Palacios, and Judy Christian; grandchildren, Jeremy Smith, Stephanie Rutherford, Amber Hicks, Jordan Smith, Trinity Smith, Sydney Smith, Lauren Hayes, Justin and Jen Parker; great-grandchildren, Noah Rutherford, Tanner Rutherford, Kloey Hicks, and Ayden Rutherford; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the North Chapel.

Interment will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 3:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the North Chapel.
