Thomas Park Graham, passed away August 28, 2004, at the age of 79. Born July 21, 1945, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Clyde Park Graham and Dorothy Wardlaw Graham. Tom was a beloved husband, father, “PaPaw,” brother, uncle, and the kindest friend to all who knew him.
Tom (Tommy) played several sports in school, including football, track, and boxing. He graduated from Brainerd High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in 1963 and soon after enlisted in the service and was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Navy. Tom began his career as an electrician at the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee. In 1985, the family moved to Bay City, TX, where he finished his career at the South Texas Nuclear Plant in Palacios, TX, retiring in 2011. If Tom was not working, he was with his family, fishing, playing cards, or watching Hogan’s Heroes.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Maria L. Graham; children Debra (Steven) Dismuke, David (Michele) Graham, and Theodore Moreno, Jr., Albert (Suma) Moreno, Diana (Robert, Jr.) Ruiz, Erica Luna (Frank), and Albert (Suma) Moreno; and brother Richard (Cheryl) Graham; grandchildren Steven Dismuke II, Abigail (Aidan) Clark, Hunter Graham, Avery Graham, Robert Ruiz III, Hillary D. Ruiz, Albert Moreno, Jr., Kaitlyn Moreno, Jacob Luna, Caleb Luna, and many nieces and nephews.
Tom was preceded in death in 2004 by his wife of 39 years, Marylin Fisher Graham, and his brother, James E. Graham.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
The family will meet with family and friends at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Saturday, September 7 around 10:30 am before going to the cemetery for the service. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 7, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with military honors.
