Ruth Lenora Long Cosper

Born Feb. 19, 1927 in Ringgold, GA

Went to be with her Lord on Friday, November 18, 2022.

She was a member of Daisy United Methodist Church although was unable to attend the past several years.

Ruth was very active in her younger years in PTA, Lions Club and a Ladies Community Club, working in schools and the community with children and families. Bethel Bible Village was a big part of her ministry, and she remained friends with several of the young ladies from there.

Ruth's hobbies were sewing, quilting, knitting and flowers {especially her cacti). She also enjoyed camping, boating and bowling with friends and family.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents Ernie and Sara Long, husband, Willie B. Cosper, Brothers and Sister in laws, Frank (Ruth) Long, Jimmy {Dycie) Long, Sisters and Brother in laws, Teresa {Joe) Hawkins, Marie (Doyle) Riddell, Daughter in law, Dianne Cosper and several nieces and nephews.

Ruth is survived by her children, Dennis (Glenda) Cosper, Ronnie (Jennifer) Cosper, Sharon (Don) Sneed, five loving grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to Caldsted Foundation for 20 wonderful years of residence there, Hospice of Chattanooga with big hugs to Nurse Ashley and CNA Rebecca and other helpful caregivers.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Chambliss Childrens Home, Bibles in Schools or Caldsted Foundation.

Services will be held at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel on Wednesday, November 23 with visitation from 11-3, service at 3 in the chapel and graveside service to follow.
