Ronnie was born in Chicago, Illinois and was a long time resident of the Chattanooga area. He was a 1953 graduate of Kirkman High School. Ronnie served our country in the United States Army. Ronnie was a retired Lieutenant with the Chattanooga Fire Department with over 32 years of service. Ronnie was of the Baptist Faith, and loved working on cars. He enjoyed boating and living on the Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gustav and Lillian Heller Wendt; siblings, Mildred Bussey, Earl Wendt, Ruth Wooten, Ralph Wendt, Nancy Miller, Neal Wendt.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Sylvia Wendt; daughter, Amy (Jeremy) Barnes; granddaughter, Sophia; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm on Saturday, January 13, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Services for Ronnie will be held at 2:00 pm o Sunday, at the North Chapel with Reverend Mike Combs officiating. Burial will be in Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park, Rossville, GA.
