Ronald Dupree, 84, of Hixson, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 23, 2021. A native of Alabama, he has been a resident of the Chattanooga area for the past 65 years. He was a kind and generous man who was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was a dear friend to many.
Ronald was self-employed as owner/operator of Associated Pallet Builders. He was a member of the East Chattanooga Church of God for over 30 years where he served faithfully as an usher and greeter. Ron and his wife Nila shared a love for travel and visited many amazing places around the world. Ronald always had a joke to tell. He loved to make people laugh, family and strangers alike. He enjoyed spending time with his family and will be greatly missed by all.
He was the son of the late Alfred and Martha Dupree and was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Nila Dupree; his sisters, Sybil and Ginny; brothers, Charles and J.R..
Survivors include his son, Rick (Debra) Dupree; grandson, Ryan (Beth) Dupree; granddaughter, Jennifer (Jeremy) Owens; great-grandchildren, Lanee, Andrew, Jack, Audrey, and James; brother, Donald Dupree; sister, Kaye Stearns; sister-in-law, Katherine Dupree, Laura (Willie) Wade, Rita (J.C.) Martin, Ann (Larry) Hester; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the North Chapel with the Rev. Don Glenn officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11 am till the time of service on Tuesday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 5401 Highway 153.
