Michael was born March 30, 1970 in Poca, WV. His dad was a constable and Police Chief till the late 90’s in West Virginia. Mike wanted to follow in his footsteps. At age 18 Mike joined the academy and was a police officer in West Virginia and at several different agencies. Michael started his business Tennessee Protective Services in 2011 serving businesses in the East Lake area with his partner Carl Postman. TPS uniform shop was established serving Police Agencies in Tennessee and surrounding states. He forged many lifelong friendships with Law Enforcement.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Crites.
Mike is survived by his soulmate and wife Becky Crites, 8 years of marriage; his mother, Anita Crites; two brothers, Chad and Casey (Amber); two daughters, Rachel (Nick) and Sarah (Cristian); two granddaughters, Adalyn and Ellie and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 pm on Saturday, January 6, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A private ceremony with his family will be announced at a later date in West Virginia.
