Max Rogers "Roger" Wilkey III

He was born on October 1, 1960 in Chattanooga, TN to Max and Wanda Wilkey. He graduated from Hixson High School and received a Bachelors at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Roger worked for Hamilton County for 30 years, serving 15 of those years at the Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s Office as a Medical Investigative Specialist. He served on the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department Reserve Force and is a member of the Masons East Ridge Lodge #755.

Roger was preceded in death by his father, Max R. Wilkey Jr.

He is survived by his mother, Wanda Wilkey; sister, Karen Thompson; children: Justin Wilkey (Alyse), Elizabeth Hall (Alex), and Preston Wilkey (Kaley); grandchildren: Nolin, Liam, Kaylee, Clayton, Aiden, Jackson, Avery, Kensi, Lainey, and Theodore; Nephew, Greg Thompson (Victoria); and Niece, Staci Bruce (Will).

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm on Monday, October 14, and 10 to 11:30 am on Tuesday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Services for Roger will follow at 11:30 am on Tuesday, at the North Chapel with Reverend Amy Nutt officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
