Mary began her career as a Telephone Operator with Southern Bell in 1957 and retired from AT&T as a Communication Technician in 1999.
Mary was a longtime member of Harrison United Methodist Church.
She was a member of the Ladies’ Oriental Shrine of North America since 2002, Asebi Court # 36 where she served as High Priestess from 2019 to 2020. She was also a member of the Clown Unit of the Ladies Shrine. Mary “Nancy” was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, formerly Hixson Chapter # 30 where she was Worthy Matron from 88 to 89, and last affiliated with Ooltewah Chapter # 365.
She was preceded in death by her mother Ruby Pierce Womac and father Lon Womac; brother, Dean Womac and sister-in-law, Lois Bledsoe Womac.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Cherie Anne Stevenson and Lorena Marie Davis; son-in-law, Terrell Davis; grandchildren, Alexis Stevenson and Jacob Davis; great grandchildren, Annalise Stevenson; nephews, Mike (Ann) Womac and their children, Hannah and Caleb; Sid (Kim) Womac and their daughter, Michelle.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm on Monday, March 6, and 11 am to 12 noon on Tuesday, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Services for will follow at 12 Noon on Tuesday at the North Chapel with her Pastor Rev. Dr. Adam McKee, III officiating.
Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
