Lynn was born and was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area. She was a 1962 graduate of Central High School and attended Tennessee Tech in Cookeville. Lynn retired with over 20 years of service at Chattanooga State Technical College. She was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. Lynn loved to travel, enjoyed her monthly lunch with the Central Lunch Bunch and was very active in scheduling Central High School Reunions.
She was preceded in death by her father, L. J. Potter.
Lynn is survived by her mother, Margaret Potter; sister, Sandra Hale; nephews, Greg (Lisa) Hale and their two children, Grace and Cate, and Jeff (Robin) Hale and their son, Grady; first cousin Sherry Potter.
A Celebration of Lynn’s life will be held between 3 pm and 5 pm on Saturday, February 4, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank the staff and nurses with Hospice of Chattanooga for their love and kindness given to Lynn.
