LeRoy Gibson

Roy earned a Bachelors degree at Georgia Tech and was a Sigma Chi. He was a retired mechanical engineer serving in various leadership roles with DuPont, with 35 years of faithful service. He was a member of several engineering associations.

For several years, Roy was a faithful and active member of Calvary Bible Church. He served as an elder and deacon, and taught the youth on Sunday and Wednesday night for over 20 years. Roy started the Boy Scout troop at the church and was an active part of it for many years. Both of Roys sons and grandson achieved Eagle Scout rank and serve in leadership roles today.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy D. Gibson Sr. and Lois Gibson. Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 55 years, Judy Gibson; son, Jeff Gibson (Bridget) of Hixson, TN; Chris Gibson (Becky) of Broomfield, CO; grandsons, Hayden and Harrison Gibson; brothers, Charles Gibson (Dannie) of Ft Oglethorpe, GA and Richard Gibson (Betty) of Highpoint, NC.

There will be a memorial service for Roy at Calvary Bible Church on Sunday, December 5th at 11:00 am. Please join the family in this remembrance at 4001 Mountain Creek Rd., Chattanooga, TN 37415.
