He was born in Hixson, to the late Arthur and Louise Lee. Joe served our country during World War II in the United States Army. He was a retired homebuilder. Joe was a member of First Baptist Church of Hixson where he served as a Deacon.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Joyce R. Lee; sister, Sue Shannon.
Joe is survived by his daughters, Brenda Standish and Marcia (Terry) Burnett; grandson, Travis Cratty.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 pm on Friday, February 28, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Joe’s life will follow at 2 pm on Friday, at the North Chapel with Reverend Alan Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
