James L. Bice, 80, joined his heavenly father on January 8, 2017. He was a church of God minister for 53 years. He was loved by many for his meek, gentle, kind spirit. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Sarah Bice; brothers, Leon, Aaron and Ed Bice; sisters, Alma James and Judy Walker; great-granddaughter, Kambrie Hall. Survivors include his wife, Edna Higgins Bice; daughter, Lynn (Donnie) Angland; grandchildren, Shawndra Hall and Chad Condra; great-grandchildren, Dakota Condra, Makayla, Addison and Faith Hall; brothers, Bill, Don and Tom Bice; sisters, Tina Bailey and Elizabeth Eustice; brother-in-law, Gene Walker; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on January 11, 2017 at 2 pm with Rev. Nathan Eustice, Rev. Delbert Layne and Rev. Jeremy Robertson officiating. Visitation will be from 2 pm to 8 pm Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the funeral home. His daughter, Lynn who loved and cared for him so very much would like to thank Sharon Johnston and Janet Isbell for their loving care of her dad.
