Henry Gordon “Gordy” Nichol, Jr. 60, of Chattanooga died Wednesday, November 1, 2023. He was born May 8, 1963 in Nashville, Tennessee. His mother, Mary Ellen Nichol, preceded him in death.
Gordy was the most easygoing, and kindhearted man you could ever know. He was a well know musician playing the bass and steel guitar. He taught music at St Jude and OLPH.
Survivors include his wife, Chrissie Nichol; son, Harrison Nichol; father and step- mother, Gordon and Lane Nichol; and a sister, Noelle (John) Bittle.
The family will receive friends from 2-6 Sunday, November 5 and from 11:30 to 1:00 Monday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 1:00 Monday at the North Chapel with Father Charles Burton officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
