He was a veteran of World War II having served in the Navy. Harold retired from Combustion Engineering after 36 years of service. He was a member of Hixson Presbyterian Church. Harold and his wife volunteered at Memorial Hospital for over 25 years and served on the Red Cross Disaster team for 5 years.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Bultema and a daughter-in-law, Dawn Bultema.
Harold is survived by his wife of 61 years, Laverne Bultema; children, Joyce Littlefield of Chattanooga, Gary (Geri) Bultema of Rockholds, KY, Richard (Linda) Bultema of Hixson and Bruce (Patti) Bultema of Soddy Daisy; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; siblings, Lawrence (Lorraine) Bultema of South Holland, IL, Esther Thomas, and Robert (Lorraine) Bultema both of Lansing, IL and Carl (Carol) Bultema of Beecher, IL; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the North Chapel.
Services for Harold will be held at 1 PM on Saturday at the North Chapel with Rev. Robert Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Harold’s name to your favorite charity.
