Grady Euvon Mathis

Grady E. Mathis, 82, of Harrison, TN passed away at his residence on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Grady was born in Chattanooga on January 16, 1942 and graduated from Tyner High School. Grady loved traveling and horseback riding, but he loved his family most of all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Mathis and Clara Coots Mathis and his brothers, Charles, Robert, Lamar, and Cecil Mathis.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Brenda Mathis; daughter, Lisa (Mark) Correll of Harrison, TN; daughter, Angie (Phillip) Davis of Georgetown, TN; stepson, Lester (Tonya) Goggins of Harrison, TN; brother, Richard (Wanda) Mathis of Talladega, AL; sister, Marilyn Scott of Murfreesboro, TN; sister, Carolyn Crittenden of Athens, TN; grandchildren, Misty (Josh) Johnson, Brittney (Chad) Conners, and Lacey (Andrew) Hitchcock; step-grandchildren, Blake and Tyler Goggins, Josh (Amy) Reed, Dustin (Amanda) Reed; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 21st from 4-8 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, October 22nd at 3 pm with interment in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
