Gayle was born on September 21, 1927 and grew up in Richton, Mississippi. They moved to the Chattanooga area in 1946 and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Emily McLean Curry; and seven siblings.
Gayle is survived by her husband of 66 years, Lee Kerby, Sr.; five children, Lee Kerby, Jr. and wife Joy, Michael Kerby and wife Betty, Alice Guider and husband Don, Glenn Kerby and wife Micah and Jeff Kerby and wife Amy; five grandchildren, Hannah Lynch, Wendy Buckner and husband Brandon, Scott Guider and wife Jennifer, Amber Kerby and Kalen Kerby; brother, John Curry and wife Nell; several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the following healthcare providers, Jennifer, Amy, Shannon, Amy, Tabitha and Karen.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 4 pm on Wednesday at the North Chapel.
Services for Gayle will follow at 4 on Wednesday at the North Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gayle’s name to Hospice of Chattanooga.
