Emily Elizabeth Thompson

Emily Elizabeth Thompson 22 of Chattanooga Tennessee passed away on Sunday October 2, 2022.

She was born on April 29, 2000 in Cleveland, Tennessee. The daughter of Brian Thompson and Wendi Black.

She was surrounded by family as she came into this world! As Emily grew her smile became the first thing you noticed about her, she was always smiling and laughing enjoying her love for animals and baby dolls. She loved sunrises, sunsets and carnation flowers which she shared through pictures and giving carnations to those she loved. She also loved the beach and nature and the little wren birds which she trained to sit on her shoulder to feed. She spent every summer in HHI with her cousins and Sissy, this was her favorite place.

Emily was a loving and compassionate person who had such a big heart. She loved spending time with cousins Abbey Brewton and Morgan Pearce, as well with her grandparents and aunts as she grew up.

Emily wrote on January 10, 2016, “I’ve finally realized that why wait? I need God now, I’m ready to give Jesus my whole heart.”

As we celebrate the life of Emily Elizabeth Thompson today, we rejoice in knowing she is with Jesus and she is finally at rest with her sweet baby boy Theo.

Emily is preceded in death by her son, William Theodore, “Theo”; grandfather, William Thompson; uncles, Buddy Thompson and Bobby Thompson.

Emily is survived by her son, Rori William; Parents, Brian Thompson (Samantha) and Wendi Black; siblings, Talon Matthew Black, Avery Josephine Black, Campbell Norton, Brooks Smidt; Grandparents, Mary Lou Thompson, Trish Hunt, Charley and Vicki Belt; Great grandmother Lavonne Jolley; Her Fiancé, Wes Counts; her future Mother in law Sandra Counts; soon to be sister in law Claire Counts; Aunts, Kim Depew (Joe), Lauren Belt Rucker, Lauren Belt, Aimee Belt, Kristen Brown, Sissy Thompson, Cherie Jolley, and Tammie Smith (Steve);

Uncles, Shane Belt, Ryan Belt and Ed Jolley; Cousins, Natalie Pearce (Bob), Nathaniel Thompson, Ashley Williams (Jason), Taylor Jennings (Maggie), Morgan Pearce, Carson Pearce, Abbey Brewton, Conner Smedley, Ellie Smedley, Caden Williams, and Oaklyn Williams.
