Doris was raised in McMinnville, Tennessee and was a graduate of Warren County High School. She was a resident of the Chattanooga area and, for many years was very active in the Midway Community. Doris was a Dental Hygienist with Dr. William T. Kelley before her retirement. She was a member of the New Bybees United Methodist Church in Rock Island, Tennessee.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Carl W. Moore; mother, Thelma Martin; brother, Frederick Schrock; and a son, David W. Moore.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Dorris; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm on Thursday, July 7, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Graveside services for Doris will follow at 1:30 pm on Thursday, at Greenwood Cemetery, with Brian Schrock officiating.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
