Bobby enlisted in the military as soon as as he was of age. He served his country for 20 years, retiring as a Master Sargent. He was a member of Special Forces and served in Korea and Vietnam. He attended the United States Army language school in Monteray, California to study German. He was stationed in Bad Tolz, Germany for many years and considered Germany his second home.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Ann, daughter Lisa Burke (Todd Vens), daughter Stacy (Steve) Archer, and son Bobby McKissick. He is also survived by his granddaughter Franny, grandson John, siblings Mary Alice (Bill) Orton, Kenneth (Peggy) Burke, and Richard Burke, and many nieces and nephews.
There will not be any visitation or services at the funeral home.
Gravesides Services will be at 1 PM on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to charity of donor’s choice.
