Tony is survived by his mother, Mabel Payne, his three children, Kassie Payne, Ryan Payne and Chase Payne, bonus children, Samantha Teems and Faith Miller, grandchildren, Austin, Leyton, Harley, Abel and Ryleigh, his brother, Terry Payne, his sister, Tonya Padilla and husband Kristopher, niece, Alyssa, and nephew, Rylan . Tony is preceded in death by his father, Frank Payne.
Tony was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee and graduated from Westwood High School in Austin, Texas. He was a drummer for the local rock band Southern Comfort, deputy with Williamson County Sheriff’s Department and after relocating to Tennessee, district manager for Knoxville News Sentinel. Tony enjoyed spending quality time with his family.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30. Funeral services will follow at 12:30. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Please share your thoughts and memories at www.chattanooganorthchapel.com.
