She was born in Sacramento, California, and spent her early years there before moving to Chicago, Illinois. At age nine Linda & family escaped the big city life and moved to Ketchikan, Alaska.
Linda was married to her beloved husband David on October 8, 1971 in Ketchikan prior to moving to Michigan where they made their home, raised their son & made many lasting friendships and memories.

She cherished annual visits to South Dakota with her husband, creating lasting memories in a place she held dear.
In her professional life, Linda spent the last 12 years as a before and after school latchkey supervisor, where her nurturing spirit and commitment to children shone brightly. Prior to this role, she contributed her caring nature to nursing homes and assisted living facilities, enriching the lives of residents through her compassion and dedication.
Linda is survived by her loving husband David; son Shelby Hansen whom she was most proud of; and her cherished siblings who affectionately referred to themselves as "The 6 Pack," Karen (Jerry) Riplinger of Washington state, Cheryl (Kelvin) Nall of Kentucky, Dorothy (Donald) Nickich of Ketchikan, John (Tammy) Giffey of Ketchikan, and Dawn (Jim) Stevens of Washington state.
