Beloved husband of Shirley for 62 years. Loving father of Sherry (the late John) Carter, Laurie (Joseph) Ruiz, Curtis (Debra) Brendel and Douglas (Jennifer) Brendel. Proud grandfather of Shannyn Carter, Jenna Carter, John David Carter, Joseph "Blaine" Ruiz, Kathryn Ruiz, Allison (David) Needham, Clinton Brendel, Amy Brendel and Sara Brendel. Brother of Fay Brendel, Judy Carter and John Brendel.
David was a proud US Army Veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. He was a world traveler who had the opportunity to travel and visit most of Europe, the Soviet Union and every state in America. He loved his Airstream and was also a member of the Airstream Club where he and his wife enjoyed much of their time traveling and camping. In his spare time he enjoyed shooting sports, tinkering in his garage and working on his cars. He will be very much missed by all.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at White Lake Presbyterian Church, 4805 Highland Road in White Lake. The family will receive friends at church from 2:00 pm until the time of the service at 3:00 pm.
Burial along with military honors will immediately follow at White Lake Cemetery.
