Cheryl L. Thompson, passed aways peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on May 21, 2013.

She was born in Pontiac Mi on August 12,1943 and was 69 years old. She is survived by her beloved spouse Donald H Thompson. Her 4 children Lori Shirley, Scott Thompson (Christine), Tricia Pershing (Sean) and Eric Thompson (Tracy Dosh). Grandchildren Anthony, Steven, Boyd, Briana, Cody, Makayla, Tristan, Tyler, Kyndall and Briley. She was preceded in death by her father and mother H.B. and Vera Hipp and her brothers H.B. Hipp Jr and Fredrick Hipp. Survived by her sister Linda King.

Cheryl retired from Meijer’s. She volunteered as a troop leader for the girl and cub scouts and was the activity director for Presbyterian Village. She was a member of Church of the Holy Spirt and sang in the choir.

Cheryl was a strong, devoted, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to sing, laugh, cook and bake with her grandchildren, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The Family would like to thank Seasons Hospice for the excellent care and kindness of our Cheryl, during the last months of her life.

A Funeral Service will be held at Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Sons Funeral Home, 3295 East Highland Road., Highland on Monday May 27th at 11AM. Phone: 248-889-1500. Final resting place will be at Great Lake National Cemetery, Holly MI. Friends may visit on Sunday 26th from 2pm-8pm.
