Saretha Cowart

Saretha Lee Cowart 51, was born November, 1971 and gained her wings December 5, 2022. She was a lifelong resident of Gary ("Black Oak"), Indiana. She attended Calumet High School. Survived by her 2 loving sisters Elsie Powell and Nancy (Jimmy) Cowart. Nieces and Nephews Michelle (Mike), Virgil, Vanessa, Jason (Maegan), Amanda (Ray), Linda, Jayden, Merideth, Braedon, Landen, Haily, Josh, Serenity, Emily, Robert & Danny! Sister in Law Barbara and nieces Amy, Rebaecka & April. Her devoted Fiance' Rob and his children Christopher, Tyler, Caitlin and Alexa. Preceded in death by her Grandparents Ralph & Dorothy; Parents Landen & Linda and Siblings Virgil, Landen & Mary. Niece Melissa & Nephew Robert. Saretha was the life of the party!! She loved Music and Harley Davidson! Some of her favorites were Def Leppard, Kid Rock and Nickelback. If you asked anyone about her they would mention her always smiling. Even in her rough times she would try to make any and everyone around her smile too! She loved being around Family and she would light up playing with her Great Nieces Elissa & Raylynn and Great Nephews Raymond and Bryson! She loved spending time with them and would do anything to make them laugh! Saretha was a cat mom! She adored her babies Desert & Stormy. She will always be loved and missed dearly by so many. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home.
